Building Progress as of: 2-2-09 Construction Continues! We have been hard at work to get our new ministry building built. It will have general office space and a complete audio and video studio! The photos below are an evidence of what YOUR prayers and financial support have completed so far. This new facility will glorify God in at least 5 main ways: 1. It will bring efficiency to our work! We just can't work out of our house any longer. With this purpose built facility we will achieve maximum productivity, reaching souls with minimum wasted effort and expense. Good stewardship! 2. New programming for the world! With our new Bible Study Reality TV program we will reach souls around the world in a whole new way! The new series will be shot in our new studio with non-christian students asking real questions. 3. Educate and inspire the church! We have been led by God not only to reach out to the world but also the church. Christian currently does this with speaking engagements and audio CDs. With our new facility we will be able to produce DVDs for personal viewing and for local broadcast in your area. 4. Assist other ministries with their media projects! Another great need we see is to help other ministries with their production needs. Far too often small ministries have wonderful messages to record but no way to record or afford the worldly rates. We want to help. 5. Train young people for service in Christian media production! We have a burden to train young people for service. Many young people have tremendous technical aptitude and talent that if properly guided can be used to save souls, even their own! We will hold media camps for the youth. Let's rightly train up the youth of this generation! This new facility will be but one more tool in God's tool box to win souls. Will you play a part in helping us to "finish the work"? Pay off current construction costs ASAP: $14,000 2. Purchase light fixtures: $800 3. Have electrician finish all electrical work: $6,000 4. Carpet & tile: $4,200 CHRISTIAN & COBY RECORD AT 3ABN TELEVISION: -written by Christian Berdahl  What a wonderfully full trip we had at 3ABN TV. Full of travel, trials and victories! Only hours after arriving in Illinois on Friday afternoon Coby started sneezing and my head began to get stuffed up and by the next morning Coby barely had a voice and my throat was raw! This of course would be no big deal if we were there for rest and relaxation. However, it is an all together different challege when the reason we were there was to talk during an interview (not sounding like a frog), and to sing and preach with some sort of voice! While we wrapped our throats, took various herbal supplements and drank gallons of distilled water we plead with the Lord to heal us and clear our voices by Monday. Unfortunately, things got worse! My already faulty right eye (read about Christian's eye surgery above) began to discharge large quantities of yuck! Yet another eye infection complicated by an intense sinus infection! I began hot and cold treatments to my eye and sinus area. While this natural remedy helped to relieve some of the pain it did not help my weak voice. The Devil began to hit us very hard! We were tempted to get discouraged and frustrated by the situation. But we both stayed surrendered and claimed many precious scriptural promises. We had to believe that some how Jesus would help us through. We didn’t want to fail Him.  We were prisoners in the little apartment where we stayed because when we went outside the beatiful blossoms attacked us! There was no “fresh air” to be had for us. Between both our coughing, sneezing and my intense eye pressure we didn’t get much sleep Sunday night. I was scheduled to sing Monday afternoon. I woke up with barely a speaking voice much less a singing voice! Oh, how the stress can come so quickly! But, no, am I going to live what I preach...surrender...resist the Devil and He will flee!  By faith I went through my vocal excercises which almost left me in tears of concern. We showed up early for the taping and explained that I was battling a pretty bad allergy attack and a bad eye infection. I told them that I was willing to go forward if they were. They said, “Let’s do it! Get to makeup and cover up that red eye!” I walked on to the 3ABN Today set surrendered to God trusting that He would help me be able to sing to His honor and glory. To add to the already stressful situation we learned that we had a brand new director that had never shot music segments before. Take after take rolled by as different crew members found their “production legs.” Unfortunately, this only caused my tired faulty voice to tire quickly.  We did manage to record three songs, Coby and I were interviewed by Danny Shelton on the 3ABN Today program, and I preached two sermons for Faith Chapel.We are bringing back a good report from our time at 3ABN. The staff is dedicated. The facility is state of the art. And the Lord is obviously blessing their efforts! I have been invited back to shoot an entire day of music and preach 7-8 messages the following day.  The Lord is working to get good music and straight messages out to the masses! I am humbled by the idea that my messages are reaching the world! |
